Position Summary:
This newly created position will be responsible for growing and developing the Molecular Diagnostics business across Italy for the Bio-Techne / Asuragen business.
In this critical specialized sales and business development position, you will be expected to maintain an extremely high level of customer engagement. You will also demonstrate strong market knowledge in order to develop strategies in partnership with your line manager and Product Managers with the purpose of increasing annual revenue aligned to the company’s strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving increased levels of growth within the Molecular Diagnostics business throughout the region
Build a knowledge base within the defined accounts; developing and strengthening your network within a customer organisation aligned with growth plans
Use market and network knowledge to create opportunities; support and direct Account Managers to specific lab groups as well as directly targeting key accounts and key influencers
Have a deep understanding of customer goals, focus, budgets, needs, preferences and their influencers so you can create and execute growth plans that will be effective
Possess an awareness of customer views on competitor Molecular Diagnostic products, using all available information to develop the plan that will drive growth and take market share
Take ownership for identification and leadership of related tenders for the region
Forecast portfolio revenue growth expectation on a monthly and quarterly basis to the Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director
Represent Bio-Techne at domestic and international conferences to support your portfolio, create end user awareness, create sales opportunities, and inform the market of our relevance
Responsible for the overall growth strategy within the region and create and manage ‘living’ plans for each defined account to drive the business forward
Deliver insights and feedback from customers, competitors, market activity and observations through monthly reporting and 1-2-1s with your line manager
Manage a hopper of opportunity and clearly and articulately demonstrate progress through sales stages aligned to portfolio growth targets
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or greater) in biology or related field
5 years successful selling experience in Molecular Diagnostics
Working knowledge of genetic disease and oncology Molecular Diagnostic markets, and key customers is highly preferred
Experience in territory planning and working in a customer focused, matrix structure and target driven environment
Possess excellent IT skills; including working knowledge of [please apply online] Office Outlook, using Excel, Word and Powerpoint are essential
Experience working for a multinational corporation is a plus
Fluent in French and English
Valid driving license
Located in region, and with a right to work in the EU
